This is a noble Campaign started by "Helping-Hands" Society, Patna, under which mid-day meals are being provided to daily-wages labourers @ Rs. 5 per meal (10 Cents approx). The Actual cost per meal is Rs. 25-30.
The shortfall amount is met by some Sponsors contributing Rs. 500 (Approx.$10) per month, which is enough to feed one labourer for one month!
I am one of the Lead-Sponsors for the Campaign.
May I request my friends in India to contribute at least for one labourer for one month?
Truth is that generic charity requests just don't get much response on DPC. Not to say that DPCers aren't charitable - they are the most charitable group I know. But here on DPC, that kindness is usually focused on more personal needs (specific member needs / situations). Also, subscription based charity ($ per month) are a real turn-off for me, personally. Not that there's anything wrong with them - I just like to always be awake and aware of where my money is going at all times.

No, it doesn't. Skip anything that you do and feel should not be doing that often, and contribute the money saved to a charity (Not necessarily this one). hahaha.
