HELP!!!!!!!!!! I just got a DiMage 7i and I am having trouble installing the software and drivers. I have two computers available and have tried to install first on a computer using ME, and then on one using XP both times the DiMage viewer installed but the usb driver won't install. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem...I tried calling Minolta tech support and got a recording and I called the camera shop and only suggestion they had for me was to purchase a card reader. Anyone else have a similar problem? HELP!

Anna, I might be able to help you with your Dimage 7i.

I don't use the software but I did install it on my Windows 98 machine without a problem. I find the Dimage viewer cumbersome so I just move the files from my camera to my hard drive using Windows Explorer.

I have a new computer at work with Windows 2000. I didn't install the software at all. I just plugged my camera into the USB port and windows took care of the rest. When you have your camera plugged in to the USB port, can you see the drive in Windows Explorer?

Are your USB ports working with other peripherals?

BTW, it takes so long for the card to be read while it's in the camera, I bought a little $29.00 card reader and it's a lot faster.

My usb ports are working perfectly fine...I downloaded from my Fuji tonight. I think my pc just doesn't like the DiMage.

I have since posting the first message been able to get the usb drivers to work on the computer with XP, but it still isn't working on my ME system.

I know about the reader, and the camera shop offered me a deal on the card reader, so I would say tomorrow morning I will be going out to get one.

After talking to Minolta on the phone I found out tech support is out till Monday morning and will be able to link me to a site with a driver to download. However, if anyone has a driver for DiMage 7i and would be willing to upload it to me I would be very greatful it does have to be a driver for a Windows ME operating system.
