I am learning some things about portrait photography and came across this.. I had no idea, but I think portrait photography is a whole new can of worms with new rules... and finding this tutorial just proved to me, there is tons to learn and know and its just not throwing families or couples together to make them look good.
I really highly enjoyed this tutorial show..
I am trying to study up on a few things.. my friends are newly engaged and they wanted me to take their engagement pictures out at the family farm. Even though I told them I was not that kind of photographer they insisted on it... I have no clue about portrait photography, but I did invest in a flash and a diffuser because it was going to be outside.. I also plan on doing some long time exposure with sparklers too..
These couples are pretty heavy set, so I was trying to search on some poses that would look flattering to them.. if anyone else has other poses that would help or tutorials along the lines that would be wonderful!
I plan on doing their photos in 3 weeks.. so I was trying to study and crash course learn things a bit. Oy Vey..
for larger or heavy set people, show less skin, bare skin attracts the eye and you wan the face to be the focus, try not to have more exposed skin area than the face.
