M2, I use it to back up several office computers to the single computer with a CD-rewriter and to take psd/bmp/tiff/jpeg/pdf files to the computer in another room with the best printer for that purpose connected to it. And that happens to be my personal own pc, build to work with digital media where the office pc's are low grade text and internet machines with a shared laser printer. It is faster as a ZIP drive and a network is out of the question.
You can do this with any media, it is just something to store zero's and one's on. Jpeg vs doc is simply the same as English vs Chinese. :)
