Aw, c'mon, really?! That SO sucks, I have Friday off and was planning to do everything then...no way could I pull off that project now...so unless I come up with something quick n easy in the meantime...won't have an entry!
This is ABSOLUTELY not fair. Langdon can't change the date a few hours before the new deadline. I really wanted to enter it but since I didn't have a lot of time today I decided to take the shot tomorrow. I'm sooo disappointed...

I appreciate that it's for Bear, and I did go make use of golden hour. But I had a really elaborate and complex, funny setup in mind and that was what I was basically going to devote a whole frickin Friday to...nothing but shooting and doing my best to pp together an image for Bear.
So, though I now have some nice shots they are a far, far cry from what I had planned, so I am disappointed that I do not have the timeframe to shoot, let alone the time needed to read and follow the tuts so I can do my original idea justice!!!
So, sorry, I still stick with my 'this speed challenge deadline sucks balls' sentiment.
ETA: I do have an entry in. But compared to my original idea, it's pretty lame. Most of us actually have to work to make a living, and that has to take priority over many things. Including shooting for challenges for beloved a DPCer as Bear.
All that really matters, is that I'm already touched that people are thinking of me. I'm sort of (and understandably) down in the dumps at this moment, and the community's a remarkable antidote. So don't worry about what you might have *planned*, just be aware you've already been "judged" by my heart and have been found to be eggg-septional in all ways, folks :-)
Bear, I don't really know you but I was going to try to make a card for you anyways. Seeing as how the challenge deadline changed and I can't anymore I just wanted to let you know my prayers are with you. It seems bears always wake up content and hungry from hibernation. I'm praying it's going to be the same for you, best of luck and don't pull any arms off!
Remember that for this challenge text is allowed, so given the style of many get-well cards you could focus (sic) on that component and perhaps use a less-than-spectacular photo as a complementary background ... for me, the "spirit of the challenge" called for treating it as a speed-challenge (honoring the "correct" subission deadline) even if the site continued to accept entries ...
I made it with 6 minutes to spare and against all odds such as: flooded kitchen, computer on top of the stove because they repair walls in two rooms simultaneously, furniture covered with plastic, ice to one smashed toe.... Bear in my thoughts!
So, the clock jumped on this one. That's ok. I saw that about 10 minutes before deadline, so it's good that I had something ready to go.

+1 I didn't get anything in, despite several "hints" about what I might shoot for it!! We leave shortly to drive up to Boston. Surgery not until the pm so don't expect any news from me until much later today. Your love and support are amazing. I know bear has expressed his thanks, but it means a lot to me too.
