When you look at Amazon and look at the option where it says "is this lens compatible with" option, and I choose 6D it says "Yes" but when I choose 5D II or 5D III, it says "No", did I miss something? All three are full frame and close to each other.
Probably a mistake in Amazon database. I am surprised these 3rd party lenses could even be mounted on FF Canon bodies - unlike Canon's own EF-S lenses which sits closer to the mirror/sensor assembly and if were to be mounted on FF, the mirror would crash into rear element when it is lifted up. But i own a Rokinon fisheye lens that is supposedly a crop/DX lens and it fits and works on my 6D - i just get similar circular image with black border but i could manually crop it and get a usable image.
So given this knowledge, you probably could mount and use that Sigma on 6D - just don't expect to get full frame coverage at 10mm - probably once you zoom out to 15/16mm, you'll get an image that covers the whole frame. But then there is no point in getting the 10-20mm in the first place. For this reason, i have chosen the full-frame Sigma 12-24 II for my wide angle needs and am pretty happy with it.
I sometimes mount non FF lenses on my D600 and I have no problems with them (8mm. Samyang, Sigma 10-20 - even once each 35 1.8 and 55-200). Nikon has even an option for an auto-crop for those kind of lenses. Otherwise you get a vignette that disappears for lenses over 50mm. more or less.
Yeah Nikons have more "gap" between the lens and the mirror - that's why Nikon lenses can be mounted on Canon bodies with an adapter in between as they need to be at a greater distance than Canon lenses. And yes its great that Nikon FF cameras have that option to auto-crop the shots from DX lenses. None of that applies to Canons though...
On my 6D I can mount the lens but shows what Mark has mentioned in his comment, it is definitely not compatible. I have posted that to Amazon let's see if they fix the issue :)

Not being compatible and having a vignette IMO are two different things.

I agree. I use the lens all the time on my FF camera. I just have to dial it back to about 13mm+ or crop.
These were all done on FF with that lens, and they did pretty well in challenges:
