Topaz filters stopped working???

Two days ago I was processing pictures and was using Topaz filters as plug-ins in PS. Today I go to use a topaz filter and they are greyed out and not useable. I uninstalled them all and reinstalled. No help. Any suggestions?

I should say not working as plug-ins. Only as part of EfexLab which stinks as they will not do raw files in efexlab.

not sure what program your using but in Ps if I don't have my file (picture) active then all the plug-ins are grey. Also if you don't have a "Background" as your first layer things will be gray for you....(i.e. your first image can't say Layer 0, it must say Background)...

The image has to be in RGB mode as well. Topaz won't function on LAB color, CMYK, or grayscale. Also won't work on 32-bit images (what you get out of some HDR merges). This in addition to what Janine just suggested.
