I made plans to go out the Brazos Bend State Park, not far from me to get my shot for the wildlife challenge. Got there a little early to make sure i get some good morning light.
About 15 minutes into our walk we started hearing the alligators bellowing. the first 2 we heard we could not see them as they were behind a little tiny island. then we came up on one we could see about 40 yards away, so I snapped a few shots and took some video of him bellowing, cool, move on and come across another gator bellowing. this time he is only like 10 ft away. I get some excellent video and the audio came out nice when i reviewed it right there.
we continue our walk and i get some pretty good pics of some Ibis, whistlers, Greebes and other misc herons and egrets.
about 15 minutes later i go to snap a pic and there is a card error. the camera says it cant read the card.
i get home and try the card in another camera, in 2 PC's and nothing. I even went to the sandisk web site and got their recovery tool, nothing. I tried a few other recovery tools and nothing. I even put it in the freezer like you would a regular hard drive, and nothing.
I gave up and tried to format the card in both PC's and nothing. tried to format in the camera and nothing.
just makes me so mad. I really want that gator video so I may end up sending it off to one of those data recovery companies and hope something on that card can be save.
