Sadly, Ryan has discovered the joys of metal detecting and has dug up most of my 1/2 acre already...seeing that my land goes back to the early 1800s all kinds of neat stuff has surfaced. And md'ing is marginally less expensive than photography!

Yeah, the perils of writing pre-coffee responses...I meant that my land was settled in the early 1800s. The oldest thing I've found has been an 1844 halfpenny, and it was on my property, which was kinda sweet. Personally I think I'm the oldest thing Ryan's found on my property, but apparently not...he's found an 1820 harp coin, whatever that is! :-)
