I was going through the ones I was mentoring to see if I could use my Magic SC Powers to repair the links, but a whole LOT of the images are gone from their respective resting places after all these years. Back then we were trying to get a teaching forum going, with a special workshop that would belong to the site for storing the images, but it never came to fruition, so we've lost a bunch of them :-(

Grand of you to try to recapture the images, Bear, but even if they cannot be restored, the narratives are still valuable information.

Is there any reason we couldn't just create a thread and try to keep it active with random advice, suggestions, tips, et al, maybe even just actually start using the Tips, Tricks, and Q&A forum?

I've been sort of trying to come up with some ideas of my own to muse on, and this general mentoring thread could be a kind of home for it.

I have very little in the way of technical expertise, but I do have lots of thoughts that may be well received by some newer hopeful photogs that are the kind of things that may never get asked.
