I think most portfolios will either be grouped by 'type' of shot in sub folders or left in the main portfolio.
I love looking at other peoples images and think it has help me learn lots. I have just uploaded a couple more images and was putting them in 'their' folders when I realised this...
I often look at peoples portfolios and apart from the last 4 additions you need to go looking through all their folders to find new pictures (not always a bad thing).
I have come up with this... I plan on having a folder of the month and will leave my latest pictures there until the next month comes along when I'll then categorise them into folders.
so, would this not be a good idea? I'd also thought of making my folders a date thing rather than 'type of shot' so that I and others (hopefully) will see how I grow as a fotog over time.
Ecce I think this is a great idea. Its very nice of you to organise your folio so that we can view it more easily. I have a little bit of trouble even getting to my folio. I've just started working up a website to catorgarise my images.

I like what you've done with your portfolio Ecce. So far I have just left mine in the main folder but yours is much nicer. Something to think about doing..
Perfect idea!!!!! I wish I had thought of that, but now that you have (thank you!), I am going to do that also. I have wanted a way to keep track of the new work by varous photographers here and have found that it can sometimes be difficult as you did. I also kept my latest ones out of folders for that reason. THANKS!!! Great idea.
Seeing as this was posted in website suggestions, I think it would be nice to see a 'last months submissions' view, or even a view by month ability, members could add their best of month pic. Just keeping our leaders on their toes;)
Great idea! I don't have a portfolio here yet, but will use your idea on my on web site. I had originally planned to make the opening page a "photos of the month" slide show, but have been unable to update it for a month now waiting on Gateway to get my service order correct! I've been using my son's computer to upload for the challenges, etc.
