Not sure of that yet, but I could have a chance to make a reportage in Lofoten islands and Senja (Norway) at the end of February. Not scared with photo storage (the SD cards I own could be enough) but my project features a time lapse video and it will take A LOT of storage space. According to you, which is the best way to keep my data?
I run everything onto three sources: 1-Internal Drive - 2-Backup Drive - 3-Google Drive for 'important' images (IE stuff that will get printed or otherwise sold)

Perhaps I didn't explain properly: I mean something for data storage during traveling. I probably need something like 1-2tb.
For 1-2TB I think you'll need a portable hard drive, unless they are making "digital wallets" that big now. I think overall I've had the best luck with Seagate drives.
If you have a lot to spend you could get some solid-state hard drives -- would be super fast, but not sure they're commonly that big yet.

So the only chance is: netbook + external hard drive(s)?

I agree. They're cheap and small (smaller than a phone). Main problem is that you need a laptop also, which is somewhat more expensive and bigger :( But perhaps there are other ways to get things directly from a camera to a hard drive.
I used the 1.5 Tb Seagate external hard drive during my 6-week Australian trip. It was perfect for backup, even if you're going to also use your cards for storage.

Nope.. I understood. :)
I move a copy immediately to my computer's HDD.
I make a copy on an external HDD.
I catalog the stuff, and (for images, not video, no idea what I'd do with that) then I upload the cream of the crop into Google Drive so that it cannot be lost even in the event of catastrophic equipment loss (theft/accident/fire/water/etc)...
I don't think there's a more certain way of ensuring your data isn't lost.
Google drive can go big enough to hold your full video catalog, but you'll have to decide if the price is worth it.
