In a little over two weeks, we'll be voting on the Master's Free Study, the monthly Free Study and Best of 2013, all at the same time. Does it get any better than that?
I'm a little ahead of Neat. I've only got part of September and all of November and December to sort through yet, but I've pulled a few candidates. While sorting and searching, don't forget that "Art of 2013" should be coming up in about a month, too.
So here's a question. I just entered, but my membership runs out in 15 days. This doesn't close for 15 days and 11 hours. So will my entry stay in or be booted out?

It should stay. I've entered a Free Study before a membership lapse before, and my entry stayed.
Guess I do things backwards. I sort and rate images as I process each day's shooting. It's pretty easy to find the best at the end of the year. It would be tedious to sort through thousands. I have about a dozen. Have already entered the challenge. It's time to work on Best of 2014.

to me that means the picture had to be taken during that time period...it's just a fupa....
I suggest everyone ignore the sloppy typos and submit an image taken in 2013 no later than Midnight (DPC server time = Eastern Time), Thursday, January 30, 2014.

I've learned to overlook the typo's here...lol (as some have learned to overlook mine....pffftttt) I just wanted to make sure that anyone "newer to the site" didn't get turned off because of the wrong info...wink

which should be for the best of 2013. I try to make changes in my entry for the Masters, like just the title, I get this
The date you have entered is outside the challenge dates. Please submit a different photograph that was taken during the challenge dates. The best of 2013 and Masters seem to be switched.
I can't be the only one with this problem
I have the same problem as Frank: The Master's challenge requires that I submit a photo from 2013 while the Best of 2013 wants one from January, 2014. These two challenge requirements need to be switched. Otherwise I can't enter a photo in either challenge /or/ I can misrepresent the dates and hope it gets straightened out later.
Does anyone want to critique and advise me on selecting my "Best of", and, hopefully, "Art of" entries? I've got some favorites, but want validation of my choices or someone to save me from myself if necessary. The more eyes, the merrier.
