Hi there, new user but with less imaginative user name than or Awediot or Streetpigeon! SLR user for nearly three years now but first stab on such a site (originally used impending arrival of first daughter as excuse / reason to get SLR in hope to be creative also but now notice hard drive almost exclusively toddler pics - need a toddler pic challenge!!). Fan of landscape images but rarely let out alone for any appreciable length of time to capture some!
Inspired over the weekend seeing the images created (however much editing was or wasn't used) by folk on here with no different kit to me so planning to wish less for the better kit and get more from what i have. I guess if we have more little 'uns I can try to justify more kit... and i guess if i can't stretch to the kit learn to use photoshop more to make it look like i did!
Made first submission today (the 'beginnings' challenge, without needing to leave the house i hasten to add) and hope to have a go most weeks (but may plan to escape temporarily every once in a while for some landscape submissions).

Same support group boat. This place is great. It keeps dangling ideas in front of you, so even though your entire life is your toddler, your eyes are alert to capture something for yourself now and then as well.
I know how difficult it is to find (be allowed) time to spend on photography when you have young kids. I suggest getting a dog as it gives you at least one hour every day walking with your camera though I did have to take the kids in their pram on my dog walks initially. Fortunately the kids are a little older so I can go out with just the dogs now:)
