With the upgrade you could sell the DR so it would be less expensive, but you end up with 1 camera and the same number of lenses.
Get the lens and you are ahead by one lens.
The 20D looks sensational, it is meant to be a big step ahead of the 10D from what I have read, and thus also well ahead of the DR.
But ........
Whichever way you go you are safe! Buy the lens now and you can later get a 20D, maybe in a year when the price starts to drop. Buy the 20D now and hey, it can take the same lens in a year's time.
So, nicely you're going great whichever path you choose .. and yeah, I know, that doesn't help your decision *laugh*
