People have no common sense when it comes to cell phones. I have been in the Wireless business for over 10 years now. I hate cell phones, well not really, just the person sitting at the next table in the resturaunt screaming at their kids/husbands/wifes on the other end. Or even worse on the airplane people CAN NOT wait to turn that thing on and start yapping.
I dont want people to hear my business so I go out side or in an area where i wont disrupt others with my phone call. I really wish more people would do this.
Oh and them Nextel walkie talkie phones are the WORST...bleck
I forgot to mention. I was watching a show about the Empire State building (I think). It showed how it was engineered, how elevators, were build, foundation, and plumbing.
#1 cause for the clogged toilets - cell phones and pagers!
What always makes me giggle is that the guy in the cubicle across from mine has the loudest, silliest sounding 80's-sounding song on his ringer and everytime it rings he scrambles with embarassment to answer it so that it will stop ringing!
It always happens in meetings, too...why do people have these dumb ringers (and at such loud volumes) if they get incredibly embarassed every time their phone rings?
I don't own a cell phone...I'm probably the last profesional buyer in the world not to own one!
There's a term for those types of people who insist on talking with an elevated voice: yellular phones. Oh, and next time you are in the stall with someone next to you who is on the phone, pretend like you have either serious diarrhea or contsipation. Or just make loud farting noises. Or anything that sounds appropriate to disturb the annoying phone user. :) I guarantee that person will hang up.
I had jury duty once and while we were waiting to either be picked or dismissed for the day, there was a guy trying to run his business via his cell phone, calling all over and informing people where he was and giving them his cell #, all in a loud voice. I wrote down his number and went to the payphone, called him and since he was ON the phone, got his voicemail. I proceeded to leave him a message on behalf of his fellow potential jurors to please shut the *$&% up and stop shouting his business to everyone. I also reminded him that his wife wanted him to pick up some things from the store on his way home. I could tell when he got the message, because he was much quieter after that.

Or after you plop one down yourself you can say out loud, "Wow, that's what [insert food item here] looks like after it's been digested!" Or, "That rash looks nasty. I'd better go to the doctor." And maybe even ask the guy next to you if he's a doctor and if he'd like to see it. :)

... that you find people sitting on the john and talking business on their cell phones?
I hate talking on the phone. I can't imagine doing that with the pants around my ankles...
Next time u encounter that, make a lot of obnoxous bathroom noise... yell at the guy on the phone and ask him to pass u a roll of toilet paper... really LOUD :)
They banned smoking in resaturants, etc. here. Now if he cell phone thing..that would be nice. Anytime I go anywhere, I turn on the vibrate (even in the store), and put in my pocket and excuse myself to somewhere private.
What drives me the craziest, are people driving with the damn thing held up to their ear! AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!! I get to see alot of accidents caused by this. Ever heard of a headset?!? Christ, $8! And CO passed on the talking on the cell phone and driving, but passed the no "driving" in the left lane, except to pass, etc. SHEESH!

Im with you on this one, but the accidents caused by cell phones is a touchy subject for me and I will leave it at that since this is NOT the rant forum.
