I run a combination of Adaware *and* Spybot..
but I generally don't have too much trouble with spyware.

I run both Spybot and Adaware. They complement each other.

I use the shareware version of AdAware:

It's great and free.

Ditto here. Spybot seems to catch some that adware misses and vice versa.

Try going to
www.downloads.com
they have many freeware downloads
I find
hijack this
very effective and
ad-aware
works well too
