I just got a very good deal on this lens. I've been needing a wide angle lens as I've been enjoying doing landscapes more and more lately, but if I can't afford to drop $2000 on the Nikon 14-24 that I've lusted over for years. This deal just came about and I pulled the trigger with fairly limited research, so I was wondering if anyone has experience with this lens. Canon or Nikon it doesn't really matter just any opinion on it would be appreciated. I shoot Nikon BTW.

The little bit of research I did seems to suggest it's a pretty good lens for the value. I'm just excited to have something different to shoot with, I've been using my 28-300 VR for a couple of years now, almost exclusively with an occasional lens baby shooting mixed in.

I love it. You can see plenty of DPCer's examples of use here.

andrewt has used it best, though sadly not in a while for display here.

Yeah, that was one of the first pages I looked at before buying it. Hopefully I'll do it justice like you and Andrew have done.
