Hey all

I'm sure there is an easy fix for this but I have yet to find it. Whenever I open a RAW file in PS CS5 I get the Extras grid overlay (under View) menu overlaying the image. How do I turn it off, so I don't have to go and manually remove it every single damn time I open a file? Really need to know as I have to wade through wedding and real estate images today.

Think it only shows when you are on lens correction,turns off on right hand drop down menu.

Hey you changed your icon while I was typing! What is that mysterious flask? An amber fluid of great power?

Hit Control(apple) H to toggle it on and off for an image.
Or go to View->Show->Grid and toggle it off to not have it come up as default.

I thought you meant in the RAW converter when you open the file.

Cntrl-H toggles the guidelines you have drawn. Cntrl-' (apostrophe) toggles the grid.

Yep thanks Bear, I followed Brennan's suggestion of going through View-Show-Grid and toggled it off. I like having it when I need it, but just looks so messy when it pops up every single time I open a file!
