First of all, it only mocks those who seek purple hearts for scratches that are treated with a bandage. As far as bad form, isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? This doesn't hold a candle to all the mockery of GW at the DNC, and by democrats and other more radical hatemongers from the begining of his presidency.

I didn’t get to see all the DNC. Was this type of thing going on during it? I don’t recall hearing about blatant smearing like this at the DNC.
Perhaps it is useless to talk to those who have not been there...but those who have been there with grevious wounds, understand the difference between political aspiration scratches and real hurt.

Yet again, the liberals seem to have this problem with people freely expressing their views under the First Amendment when those views don't seem to conform with their own. I guess First Amendment rights are permitted only outside Madison Square Garden? Or perhaps just the demonstrators outside are permitted to express their views? I'm really so tired of this First Amendment Hypocracy.
This form of 1st amendment I think is different than criticizing Bush policies and lack there of. This is mocking a man and thousands of others like him.
And oh ya. What’s with McCain backing Bush? Bush was as ruthless to McCain in 2000 as he has been to Kerry this year. He also has shown public dissatisfaction for Bush's policies many times in the last few years.
This tells me partisan politics controls the American democracy and is stronger than dealing with the issues and problems at hand.

In fact, it didn't seem to bother you when the liberals were using hateful rhetoric and name calling to attack Bush personally rather than his policies.

Your right. And I still say that handing out bandages mocking Kerry and others who have won a purple heart is in bad form. Especially in the middle of the RNC when they are trying to look 'moderate'.

Besides, isn't there a whole lot of mocking of Bush by protestors? Not to mention calling him names, like Murderer, Nazi (done here already), and countless others posted on signs down in Times Square, etc.? Bad form, too!!??

You conservatives seem to always fall back on making everything a first amendment issue. It's one thing to say you can't say something, and another to criticize what is said. The legal is not the issue here, but rather the ethics that's being questioned. No one is saying the republicans have no legal standing for free speech, just whether or not it's in good taste.
It's perfectly understandable that the republicans are doing this because this is the type of dirty smear politics they play. They also do it because they don't want to face the issues and really have nothing to offer the majority of the American public. It's the same old story with the "good ole party." Cutting taxes for the rich and they'll be strong militarily. Make the most of 9/11...that's why their in NYC.
As a side note today, I heard that NYC gets less money from homeland security than 48 other states. Yet, this is probably the number one target of terrorists.

Stand back watch the republicians screw up big time and if the media doesn't make an issue of it make an issue of it where your vote counts in your local area, with the local newspapers editorial column by sounding out on the issue.
I'm in an area of Pennsylvania that is considered a swing area and if my pointing out that the republicians made a mockery out of the purple heart issue and swing a few votes to Kerry then it is worth the time to write the local paper.
