What happened to Anita?? I haven't been around much so logged in and clicked on her name in my messages to see how she's been doing with her challenges, and her account is GONE!
I do not think there was a single incident that caused her to leave. It was more like an accumulated frustration over a few different issues. If I understand things, her decision to entirely delete her account was to remove the temptation to return.
For sure. It's been hard for me to keep at photography, but seeing how well she was doing on the challenges was inspiring. I felt like a proud mama when she got that first blue ribbon! The big changes in my life are starting to wind down and things are beginning to settle, so I was looking forward to coming back here and having Anita around to keep me motivated and get back on track with photography. I actually feel a bit deflated now. Very sad to have her gone.
I too just noticed that Anita has left, completely. As fellow Perth residents and Pentax shooters we'd compared notes a lot in the time she'd been around. Bit said that she felt the need to completely delete her account. Was it something I said?.... :)
She will be missed, it was odd she left a comment on my entry and not long after that I clicked to check out her profile and she was gone. I feel honored to have recieved one of her last comments!
Yeah, it was handled through me. She feels that when she's part of DPC it drains too much of her energy from other, more important pursuits, and she's apparently powerless to resist the siren song, so her only defense is to close her account, and that's what we did.
I wouldn't be surprised if she returns to us sometime in the relatively near future, but we'll see.

I asked for this three times the last couple of weeks. No one ever responded so I just decided to come back and cause problems. How should I do it next time because apparently submitting an administrative inquiry under "contact us" goes to the recycle bin

Thanks for the response, Bear. I'll miss her (until she returns) but it does make sense. My own defense is to resist the more important pursuits ;-)
