For anyone in Southern California who may be interested, this weekend is The Big Photo Show at the L.A. Convention Center. If you register early online HERE, the event is free ($25.00 at the door). There seems to be a fair number of interesting hands-on workshops and shooting opportunities (Click here for the schedule).

sessions on HDR, Lightroom, Lighting, Macro Photography, Portrait Shooting, Sports Shooting, Marketing, Landscapes, Nature Photography, Green Screening, Business Building, Night Shooting, and more!

and for free?!? this is tons more than you can get at some events that charge $700-1500.

I was just at a similar photo fair in San Diego last weekend. I attended a couple of sessions, but they were not a whole lot more than product placement venues. As in most things in life, you get what you pay for...
The best part of such fairs is that you get to see and try lots of latest photographic gear, and talk to reps about them.
