Nikon posted firmware updates for most of their recent DSLRs today, including the D600, D800/e, D4, D7000, D3200, and the entire D3 series. Besides enabling support for the new 800mm f/5.6, it sounds like they fixed a lot of people's niggling complaints, including fixing some autofocus and live view problems in the D800, and on the D4, "Images are sharper and appear more three dimensional."
Oh this is such a wonderful site (Nikon) said user name or password is wrong, they just emailed me a new link... well ahhh NO... so site said contact support... WHAT.. only way I can find to contact support is by email.... thru the account that I can't get into... sigh.... am I stoooopid and before I WASTE any more time WTH is it really gonna fix??? Distortion, something I'm missing????
can't figure out how to update my D600....I tried to follow the instructions but it didn't seem to work....
I just managed to do this with some difficulty. The instructions are less clear than they should be. One thing that bit me was that I had to take the 2nd memory card out, or it wouldn't give me the option to upgrade.
