I want to capture a video of an iPad app I have just created. Due to my limited video equipment I was going to give it a go with my iPhone 5. So need to clamp the iPhone 5 so it is above the iPad.
Anyone recommend any hardware to enable me to to this? I do have a decent tripod and head but obviously my iPhone doesn't have any attachments to attach it to the tripod head. The cheaper the solution the better as not sure how good the quality will be though a quick hand held test looks promising. Note I need to capture the audio too though this could be added to the video in post production.
Parsed. You can get them with or without the stud, which can be used to mount to various things, but you can buy the stud on the own afterward if you'd like, as well, even though the one you linked to has no stud.

does the iphone need to be secured to your tripod?
you could place the iphone on some kind of ledge with the camera lens over the ledge pointing down directly over the ipad that's laying flat on the surface. you wouldn't have to purchase anything to do this.
Isn't there an app you can get to record screen activity on an iPad? - What I'm thinking is that your fingers would keep getting in the way if you use this method.
Super clamps are well worth having though I've bought 1 new one and two second hand ones use the to mount speedlights. Hold backdrop poles hold cameras to ceilings for timelapse etc great bit of kit, you can fix two together and use it to attach a monopod to a railing

Funny you should ask as I found a fantastic tool last night called air server that basically mirrors the iPad to my PC or Mac screen. And it does it to the PC laptop via WIFI. So I just need to use some screen recording software and the result is a great walk through of my app without any fingers getting in the way. In theory I could add some sort of finger graphic in post production. I will also add the audio in post production but that should be easy enough.

Thanks Cuttooth - that does look like a nice cheap solution - which is the usual route I take with these sort of tasks but as I plan to shoot a few of these videos, I thought I would invest a few dollars in a better set up:)
