All my last 20, maybe 30 images, even my ribbon winners, experienced a low votes bombing at the beginning. All of them went under 6 and not only at very beginning, they were in tiny violin territory even after 20-25 votes. It's not a problem because I'm sure that this happens to everybody here. But the fact that perhaps someone is having fun doing this bothers me.

Exactly what I observed lately. In the end it doesn't matter when the low votes come, but how often
its definitely been erratic of late, i always thought the first 20 or so votes gave you an idea but ive had 5.4 reach 6.5 then ive had 7's drop to mid 6s etc

Same. Started below a 5 and has climbed to 6.1 now. Thank goodness. I knew I didn't have a ribbon winner but I didn't think the score would be sub 5. No way.
Well, Venser and I had talked about the idea of doing a "who can score lower" side-challenge between us, but he decided to go with a legit entry (the decision to even try for this only came up on monday, and he had a shot already taken, so i don't blame him for going with what he thought might get him an actual decent score instead of purposely tanking).

If someone is actually lowball voting for sport, then you are giving them exactly the reaction they want.
You're probably right, but the whole thing doesn't change my life, if someone if having fun is sad, there are a lot of better things to do in this life :)
