As a working member of the press I have to say that your idea to me seems "somewhat shadier" than any website you could link on here.
1. Press passes are given to people who are REQUIRED to have the access that they allow.
2. You have to have a reason to be there. Other than I have a cool camera and want to take photos.
3. Doing what you are considering doing tells me a lot about you.
4. I hope you realize that should you get caught, impersonating someone(even a member of the press) is against the law and in turn has consequences I hope you are willing to deal with.
5. I have seen people removed with great force and banned permanently from places where they thought it would be "Cool" to go into impersonating a member of the press.
You do realize that even considering doing what you say, makes it even harder on people who actually put food on the table with their press credentials. I suggest if you want to have press credentials, find someone willing to hire you and get them for you when they are needed.
I have one issued to me by the Missouri Press Association every year. My EMPLOYER puts in the required documentation for me to have them. |
