The California King Tides Project is asking people to document (in pictures) the extreme high and low tides—the highest and lowest of the year—over the next couple of days.

Two caveats: the pictures will be available to the public/media under a limited license, and you need a Flickr account to upload; see the linked page for details. You'll also need to provide some details about the picture(s) ...

At the bottom of the above link, there are additional links for British Columbia King Tides, Oregon King tides, Washington King Tides, and Queensland King Tides...
