OK, we have coders working around the clock to get this off the ground. We are aiming to start the first Members challenge in 2013 (it will be announced)
For now we are checking on the interest in participation, so, if you are interested please use the sign up form SIGN UP FORM
Just like real Soccer(football) there will be a league of teams, 5 members per team, each team plays each other at least once maybe twice(depending on how many teams are made). 3 points for a win 1 for a draw and 0 for the loss. We have a very good plan for team member selection and also for points system too. All you have to do FOR NOW is register your interest and sign up, we will do the rest.
Click on your name from one of the posts. It will be in the browsers address bar. Conversely going to your profile at the top of the page doesn't end up showing your ID.
I signed up, my only question would be how many weekly challenges do you have to enter? I can handle entering one a week, but more than that may be tough for me to commit to...

Same question. And I would like some parameters outlined here. If I missed a thread, please direct me to it. I just can't tell from this thread what DPC Team Photo League is. Thanks.
Waaaaa Whooo...but only 5 team members....can there be more team members???
PLEASE...
That might slide depending on how few/many sign up. So, you want more? Get more people to participate.
As for which challenges, I'm pretty sure it will be either one challenge a week, or your best score for the week.
The official rules document is being written. Be patient, this is in progress, and working steadily, but it is in progress, so we don't have the documentation up just yet. I'd say we'll have all these answers by the beginning of next week.
So can we still sign up after we know what we're committing to or do we just have to close our eyes and hope?
Same to me, like to know what the Team League is and whether there are any obligations to it or not. But it might be interesting, so waiting for more info.
It will run as a side challenge
1 challenge a week
If we get enough people then of cause we will notify SC and have close contact with them to make it run smooth (DQ's etc)
I think people are honest enough here not to worry about voting
A full ruleset is being compiled now and will be made public as soon as it is finished
Just woke up here in UK, we are getting people to sign up to check how many are interested, do not worry, at this time your bank balance has not been affected and your life will remain stable :)
If you are on a team and you do not participate then YES the team will suffer but we are working on some system so the team can have some kind of wild card they can use but it will not be a never ending one so if you think you are going to miss 40% of the contest it may be better to sit it out.
We will post an outline of the rule set when we have an idea of how many want to run with it.
The main thing is to have fun, learn, teach, enjoy, partake, just like Ye Good Ol' Days
Not to put a kibosh on this ('cause I really want this to happen) but has this been sanctioned by Langdon and/or the SC?
On Nov 26 I wrote to the administrators of the site (through the help/Contact Us link) asking about any issues with running something like this. I haven't receive any response so I think we are left to believe that there are no inconvenient from their part.

The number_id is a unique identifier, if you change username it won't affect the number. The system is been prepare to run automatically and working with this number make the coding a lot more stable and less chances of requiring manual intervention in the long term. Sorry for the inconvenience!
