On November 1st I left for a three week vacation to Japan and Taiwan. Before leaving my husband and I were discussing the things we'd like to bring back to help us plan our trip budget. When he first asked the question I jokingly replied "A picture that will do well on DPC."
As luck would have it my High Contrast picture brought me a personal best (6+ even) and 8 wonderful comments. I am on cloud 9!! Thanks Santa for an early delivery on a very nice Christmas present. Thank you DPC for helping me take better photographs every week. There are a lot of very inspiring photographers on this site and if I am ever half as good as y'all I will be quite happy. (Just to call out a few favs ... KarenNfldvawendyAlexkcbassboneBear_MusicCuttooth oh and I can't forget gyaban ... I'll happily borrow only the artistry in his little finger and be content. Sheesh ;) )

Congratz! And yes... I know the feeling you're having! It's amazing and you should use that to even better your photography... DPC is such a good place to get inspired and learn! Especially with the people you mentioned and even ones you didn't mention! I could name a few but I don't want to hijack your thread. ;)

I totally agree with you. Seeing al those great images again and again is really stimulating me to improve myself. And with the help of those photographers it might even work one day :-)
