Here it's my version. I tried to not overdo it, I like the more pastel and soft feeling about it. The blue color of jeans was too blue for my taste and not macthing the overall colors in the photo, so I just desaturated it. Made some tweeks in ACR and minor changes in CS5.

Here is my quick edit. No Topaz or other plugin's that make people look crunch and un-natural. Just some basic editing, a couple layers and some selections to keep the skin tones the same while making the color pop and mom and child stand out. A nice photo to play around with Kevin. Thanks for posting.
