I'm disappointed with is this score since it's much lower than my FS entry. I think this is the better shot, but looks like I'm wrong. I know comparing entries across challenges is erroneous, so I shouldn't worry about it.

It's more subjective than your own or Facebook friends, albeit dpc has a set style to do well but generally the better images finish near the top

I disagree with this statement. Define better? Photography is entirely subjective. After challenges are finished, normally my votes don't correlate very well with the final placements. The higher placing images simply cater to a larger majority of voters, but I wouldn't necessarily call them better photos.

Who said they have to match with what wins, but for your photograph you can garner what a large group 100+ people think of your image with no real knowledge of the photographer to bias their decisionMessage edited by author 2012-10-02 02:25:38.
