Zagreb is an interesting city. The cathedral (St Stephen's with its twin towers) is a must as is, in my opinion, the world's largest collection of Neanderthal remains. The Mirogoj park-cemetry is beautiful, with arcades and an art museum (15 mins by bus from the Cathedral). Lotrscak Castle is good too. If you are into art, Mestroic's Studio is open with drawings and sculpture, and the Mimara Museum is not to be missed. The old city fortification's are still there in places, esp around what's called the Stone Gate. When that's all done, relax over coffee at Josipa Jelaèiæa Square.
