2.4 Portable or Home Computer Use. The primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer or a Computer located at his or her home, provided the Software on the portable or home Computer is not used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer.

But just so you know... It needs activation... So I would say no. You can install on 2 computers, but only one activation is allowed at a time.
You can have two installations, and they can both be activated at the same time. Adobe keeps track of the activation count, and won't allow activation on a third machine unless you deactivate on one of the others. In cases where you have a system crash and cannot deactivate, they can manually adjust the activation count.
I have had both CS4 and CS5 activated on two separate machines owned by me (a desktop and a laptop) as per their licencing. Once activated it does not check back with Adobe so you could use both at exactly the same time.
However, what you are suggesting is probably against their licencing, but it can physically be done.
You have to prove that the person is a student / teacher before Adobe will give you the activation serial. I got a student copy and had to send them a copy of my enrolment letter from the college ... however, a lot of short part time evening courses give you that and are eligible for the student discount so you could do a $100 course, learn some new stuff AND save 80% of the retail price :)

I didn't think of that. My wife takes a course every once in a while for work and gets discounted rates. She actually has one coming up soon. I may look into it when she enrolls.
