Sounds like bride was married back in June and went to location for a trash the dress shoot...
It's about time we trash the "trash the dress" concept. We've already given future generations enough material to build entire web sites devoted to the mockery of these photos.
We can say that the trash the dress photo shooting is silly or meaningless, but we can't say is dangerous. 1000 people die each year in italy while going down stairs but we don't say that it is dangerous.
Much more dangerous is taking landscape pictures on slippery cliffs or during a storm or in the mountains.

I have no problems with firearms... it's some of the folks that own them or have access to them that raise my concerns in cases such as This and This and I am sure there are quite a few more.
Extremely sad. Water bodies are sometimes extremely unpredictable and even the non-threatening ones can be killers though I do blame photography for creating daredevils out of people. Every time I go hiking near a few rapids I hear the story of some tourist who has fallen in. And everytime the story is the same, "The tourists were taking photographs..." and how they managed to topple into the river by taking risks they wouldn't have if they weren't posing for some picture.
Last year a couple propped their daughter on a boulder almost halfway into the river. The girl falls in and the father dove in after her. Bystanders managed to stop the mother from doing the same. The father's body was found but not the little girl's. All for one photograph.
These stories tragic and do give me pause and definitely sticks in my head when I am shooting in dangerous places.
My dad used to take photos of me & my siblings (5 of us) on rocks, near rivers, edges of cliffs, etc. and he used to always have us backing up closer and closer to the edge - "Keep going. Further... further... back back back..." I bet it never dawned on him that we might have all "accidentally" been killed. .............hey- wait a minute........ :/
Sad stuff. It is our responsibility as photographers to think about these dangers. I fear so many facebook photographers take that for granted, as well as some pros. Be safe out there and keep your clients safe.
Aaaaauuuugh! That's unbelievable! I can't imagine being the photographer and having to watch that! How sad for the families of those newlyweds & the grief of the ones who were all excited about the wedding in 5 days! It's heartbreaking to even think about!

things will not happen as wish them to happen. even this is a kind of lesson to be learnt to have the photo sessions for couples and family photography.
