I've got an emergency going with my batteries. Left the charger in Mexico and the replaceemnt I ordered isn't working. I'm down to my last battery. Does anyone have one I can buy/borrow? (It's for the Nikon D700). I need it YESTERDAY!!!!! I'll pay for shipping!!!

If no DPCer nearby can help you out I would think there must be some shop nearby who sells them? If not in stock they must have a charger that goes with their demo camera. I've been in that situation before and got the shop to just charge the battery for me while I went to lunch.

i just bought a universal DSLR charger at a local camera store for $30-ish, capable of handling anything but sony. unless you're in the middle of BFE, you should be able to score something.
Sounds like a great excuse to go back to Mexico and get the charger to me. : )
Wishing you best of luck with getting a working charger before you run out of battery. Meanwhile, it's P&S cam time to save the 700 battery for the critical shooting.
ETA, If you know the local shop people pretty well, they may know someone nearby who has a camera that uses the same charger, who would be willing to charge your batteries or loan you a spare charger if they have more than one. You may make a new friend and shooting pal in the process.
