Who the heck is the guy that started this thread anyhow?? ;-)
It seems like a kinda neat idea... by it's nature it solves the problem of the back optics of the lens being exposed, and it should be fast, no doubt about that. The one main issue I see is that the lens bodies are not protected from banging into things. but then again, they are not protected if they are attached to a camera hanging from your neck or shoulder either.
