I shot some surf stuff today. Second time out with this new sandisk 8gb ultra 30bps. I was shooting high speed full burst in full raw on a Canon 40d. Thing is, I don't see the corrupted image showing up on the cameras lcd. Only when I import to lightroom 4. Or even open the raw file with photoshop camera raw.
Could it be a sensor issue? Or maybe the card? Should I format it again.
card or contacts... Could also be a few other things..
Try an older card, if that works fine for a while, then try the new card again, without doing anything.
See if the error is still occurring.
If so, I would suggest returning the card, and insisting on a replacement - will you ever honestly trust your data on that card?
If you do choose to keep it, try formatting it, and giving that a shot.
If the camera is doing this with both cards, I'd try to clean the contacts, but this could be tricky...
If none of that resolves the issue, you might try taking it apart to ensure that a ribbon cable hasn't come loose, or that there's not some other obvious issue..
If, after all of that, your camera still doesn't work, then you'll need to get Canon repair on the phone.
For sure the card, has the exact same thing with my card shooting, you guessed it,,,, surf.
I had it laying out on a table on the balcony, my card is used to 1-8% humidity, dry dry desert air, then took it up to CA, left it on the balcony after I downloaded from it, then took it into an ice cold room, then out to the beach. 500+ shots looked exactly the same as yours.
Went out bought a new card, problem solved. Took the bad card back to AZ and never had a problem with it again. But after a year it started getting wobbly again, so tossed it.
The shots look the exact same as a friend of mind who had a badly corrupted card. I was able to use Sandisk's Recovery Pro to get almost every single photo off the card intact, but a few were lost.
Sounds like the card is genuine. That doesn't rule out a card problem, but it makes it pretty unlikely. Maria's suggestion of trying a different download method is a very good one. There are known cases of incompatibility between certain card/reader combinations. Using the cable with the camera takes the reader out of the equation.
If you are downloading directly from the camera are you using the USB 2 port.
I know this sounds odd but sometimes the USB ports on the front of computers are not as fast as those on the back (providing we are talking about a tower)
Otherwise I might suggest borrowing a friends good card reader to see if the problem exists when using this method.
I see you have stepped up to a 60d from a 40d. This is when the problem first came up for me (moving from a 40d to a 7d) must have something to do with the file sizes but that is when my old cheap card reader couldn't handle it and I got corrupted files. Again I think it may have had something to do with the transfer.
I now use a good quality Lexar card reader (reads both SD and Compact Flash) and have not had any more problems. If you are seeing the images correctly on the camera I think the file would be alright as this image is generated from the original so has to be as seen.

That's not necessarily true. The camera's LCD image is generated from the embedded JPEG, so the RAW data can still be messed up while the embedded JPEG is fine. Corruption during transfer is still a possibility, but I'd regard it as less likely if the camera was used directly connected to the camera. Still, it's worth trying to transfer the files more than one way to see if the result is the same. That of course assumes that you have some corrupted files to test with.
There should be no issue with the card you are using and the 60D. It's plenty fast for the camera, and if the camera runs out of buffer, you should still not get corrupted files.
If in the end you can verify that the files are really corrupt as written to the card, and not corrupted during transfer, then I'd exchange the card and see if that solves the problem.
