Horrible timing when I want to be using my new Olympus E-PL1.
I finally got a phone with a camera in it after the last challenge, but I never use the thing. I'm not sure it can take good enough photos for a challenge, but I'll have to give it a try.
In pretty good lighting situations, the iPhone 4S is a capable camera. More and more, I reach for the iPhone 4S when a scene begs to be photographed, but I don't have the time to set the larger, heavier, more intrusive DSLR.
I just got a Nokia Lumia, but, I'm really struggling to figure out how to get the pictures off the camera. It doesn't have a memory card, but it does have a USB cord. But the computer doesn't recognize it as a drive to drag & drop. It has to be connected to Zune to see the images on the computer, but I can't figure out how to move them from Zune to photoshop. I can upload them to windows version of the cloud (skydrive), but then they are no longer full size. Does anyone have any advice?

There are two modes that a device can connect using. I don't know about your phone, but there *may* be a setting to change the method.
The first is Media Transfer Protocol, which is where the device identifies itself and the computer opens the appropriate application for the type of media. This is what your phone is probably using.
The other one is Mass Storage Class. This protocol simply identifies the device as an external drive so it opens in the file manager and you can drag & drop files. This is what you want to change your phone to if you can find a setting for it.
Added: Just did a quick search and it appears that the Zune software is the only built in way to get files in and out. Unless you are comfortable with doing a registry edit on your computer.
This could create issues if there is a validation request. I suggest SC should make case-by-case exceptions for certain phone models in this challenge. If it is determined that MSC mode cannot be easily enabled.

I enjoy taking pictures on my iPhone much more than I anticipated -- when I don't have my dSLR, when I don't want to attract attention, etc. The picture quality is soooo much better than my last cell phone. I was happy to have a few pictures on the DPC page for the iPhone -- I suspect some may be bumped off after this challenge.
