I took a bunch of shots at the local Canada Day celebrations this year and have been toying with them in LR and PS, but kinda going around in circles due to indecision. I'm wondering what y'all do with your fireworks pics. If anything.
It's been a while since I processed any fireworks shots Scott. But as I remember I last did most of my work in LR with a lot of spot exposure adjustments to keep the sky dark and give the fire pop. You can go with lots of contrast and play with the color temps quite a bit, and don't forget to try playing with the luminance of the various color channels. Good luck!
to be honest, for fireworks 90% of my work is actually getting the framing and timing right. Beyond that, I may clone out excessive stuff, tone down highlights / bring up shadows just a bit, maybe...maybe add a little color and that's it.
