I was asked to put together a video of our trip to Haiti. I'm no video expert and hope to have critiques and suggestions for the transitions, edits, text, etc. It's too late to reshoot the interviews, so I could only change simple things.

WARNING: The video is overtly religious. If that kind of stuff makes you squeamish, then I wouldn't watch. I'm not looking to turn this into one of "those" threads.
I am far from an expert but I thought it was pretty good. A few suggestions I would offer are the following: I would like to see more movement in the stills, I forget the name but you basically start the frame at one part of the photo and you choose to pan it or zoom in/out to draw attention to specific parts. It also adds drama in my opinion. The other suggestion is the transitioning of music to talking, parts seemed a bit sudden and I would say to fade the music but have it in the background during speaking parts. I really wanted to do the pan and zoom as well, but do not know how to do it through Premiere Elements. Anybody have any info on this?
I also agree on your transition critique. That was a struggle. I tried the same song in the background and it was too busy so I switched to the much lighter instrumental. Maybe I could add a few slides and fade the music over a longer period or even fade it out completely for 3-5 seconds before the interview starts.
I found the opening sequence hard to take. You just bombarded me with images. But once you got to the interviews you found a narrative for the photos and it worked well.

Thanks Don. It may be a bit hard to address that. The opening sequence is meant to tell the story of Port au Prince in general outside the compound and tent village. Many of the pictures come from our initial drive through the city, but I see how they seem less connected. Maybe I can alter their order somewhat.

If you can work out the zoom/panning of those initial images, that might help. You could use something like ProShow to create the slideshow part and then merge the result with the video portions in Premiere.
Overall, I thought it was great. The quality of the video was fantastic, as were the images, but then I would expect that from you. :) Only nit is the flash words around 25 seconds in.
Well done on the video and more importantly, on the efforts to help the folks in Haiti.
