I used the previous edition, "Photo Tools 2.5 Free" for quite a while. It's basically been superseded in my arsenal by a paid-for Nik Color Efex Pro... But it's a nice little program. You can stack the effects in it and turn them on and off before committing to a particular edit.
Ja-9, Perfect Effects (shown here as the full edition) lets you simply click and apply presets to your image, then stack and manage those added effects like layers with full control over each. In Photoshop (if you're using the plug-in version) you access onOne plug-ins via the File>Automate menu.
So Bear_Music...you see to have this...do you use is as "stand alone/plug-in"...and if you use it plug in...which one do you plug-in to???
Right now I have all my plug-ins (Topaz, SEP2 & Neat Image) all in my Photoshop Elements...
I know that I CAN put them in my Lightroom...but at this point have chosen to keep them in the PSE10...

Thanks Robert, I did just didn't know where I should put this for the work flow...I use Lightroom for most of my RAW Conversion and a few other things...then I always move the photos to PSE10...that is where I do my final "tweaking" per say...
I actually gave them my (work) number but they've yet to call me.
Various stores in town do this as well, which makes even less sense. I mean, I don't ask the girl at the register for her number-!
I have. I say something like "i'll give you mine when you give me yours ;)", or i'll make a joke of the fact she's asking for it and say "sorry, i'm really flattered that you want my number, but i'm married with a family...and my wife said i can't have any more wives."
At that point they either laugh at the joke or get so embarassed that they don't ask me for the phone number to enter into their system.

I have recently installed the suite...I like Nik better, but perhaps I haven't given it enough of a chance. I watched one of their videos today and I thought it was very encouraging, and explained some things I didn't catch just by perusing the interface.
One thing to note: I read recently that Perfect Layers is now FREE. That's a nice addition to LR because it lets you work in layers, and it creates a PSD that's Photoshop compatible and opens with the layers. Wish Nik had that.
I watched this "inspirational tutorial" (their words) today and it made me more interested in giving the suite another chance. I think it's good to show off Perfect Layers and Perfect Effects.
