I decided at the last minute to go with the bird shot as I felt it would be more DPC friendly and regretted it within the first few hours of voting. I know the outtake would have scored significantly lower but it may have gotten more interest and is something that I would have been more proud of as an entry. I’m disappointed with myself.
My entry was a shoehorn, in which I just cropped some of the pictures I took for my brother's senior portraits to fit the challenge even though the originals had much nicer and more natural compositions.
