There is only a few hours before the feet challenge goes out to vote. As I write this only 88 entry. That seems like a very low amount. How many of you are going to beat the clock? and why such a low level of entry?
Well, I didn't enter because, well, who wants to see MY feet? I was thinking of a shot I could use my sister for, but honestly couldn't come up with anything original other than using the puppy she was dogsitting who loves to lick toes. :) But I never did it. Anyway, I'm glad there's not 400 pictures of feet. I would not want to have to vote on all those. Surely there is more variety in something like "Blue" or "Primary Colors" etc. than "Feet"... I thought of footprints (surely it'll be done by someone), puppies, furniture feet, rulers (groan!), etc. but nothing sounded worthwhile to me.
So I'll be very interested to see what kind of entries we have. In 4 hours 27 minutes, or so...
What a week! I fell and sprained my foot and fractured a bone - IF ONLY I had gotten the doctor to give me the x-ray - I'm sure I would have made a cool photo with that as a back ground or something - perhaps like Labuda's
Oh well - I'll sit here tonight with my foot up and wait to see what everyone else does :)
ok, since this is based on US time, are we allowed to submit techically at 2 am on the 9th if we're in the UK? since it will be still the 8th in the US?
i unsubmitted my feet photo because I didn't want to be unfair even though it let me submit it still, because my exif data said the 9th allbeit 2am.

You can submit any time before the site switches it over to voting. The SC should adjust the time to what they use, so it shouldn't matter that you're EXIF says the 9th, if your time is ahead.
ok cool well i'll resubmit it then but if there's a problem with that i'll happily withdraw it?
its not very exciting or original either so I'm sure it won't really matter either way.

Well I was not going to enter, but at the last min I thought what the heck. I had set out to take a photo of something elese but wound up in a totaly different direction. I hope it does ok. I would hate to see my average drop even further because of a hasty decision.

Yuki...Even if yours doesn't score high, so what! The real benefit is to learn from each other and receive insight from others. Anyway you still have time. :-)
P.S. I took my photo at about 5:30 or so. I doubt it will do well, but I had a blast making the picture. And now I get to share it with my peers. I'm sure a few will get a "kick" out of it. Pun intended...lol
I wonder how many flower submissions we will have? Hopefully the flowerphiles (or whatever you call them) will be a *little* more creative and show the roots or something.
Well, I'm glad to have this one submitted. Maybe now I can stop looking at everyone's feet like some sort of freak. Also, I guess top 100 is out. I think I was the 132nd entry.
Well... I thought of my feet idea with a half an hour to go. I shot it, downloaded it to my computer, cropped it, adjusted brightness/contrast, shrunk to 130kb and uploaded to DPC with 10 minutes to spare. Whew! I can't beleive I did it. I hope it doesn't suck too bad.lol
I keep looking at mine, last minute idea, wish I would had more time - oh well time will tell...why do we anguish over these photos so much, maybe if there were cash involved I'd feel better...hmmmm.
Personal record on this challenge. 15 min. from shot to posting before we had to leave for dinner. Even if this scores a 3.000 it will be a personal best on score for time invested on an advanced edit challenge.
