I need suggestions or ideas, any and all home remedies, old wives tales, potions, recipes, elixers, voodoo, anything to relieve a bad toothache until I can get in the dentist.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Oh, and this is photo related 'cause I can't shoot while in pain! :-(
Since I personally can't stand anything that numbs my mouth,. I have used floride treatment in the past and it worked pretty well. You can usually pick up A little bottle of floride get at local grocery stores.
Ice packs...no heat (although it might feel better). Don't want any infection that might be in there to grow... and rinse with that icky old salt water...it helps some as well. Hope you feel better soon, hon!
i just recovered from an abcess tooth and rinsing with warm salt water, ice packs and ibuprofen gave me the most relief until i could get to the dentist. cloves work, too, as will vanilla flavoring on a q-tip or cotton ball and applied to the tooth and gums for a few minutes.
