Being all the way from Zimbabwe I cannot use PayPal to become a full member of DPC!
I have tried numerous times to sign into Pay Pal but because I am using a Zimbabwean ISP it comes up with this story about how I am not allowed to use Pay Pal because of US economic sanctions!!! Aaargh!
Any suggestions?
I would love to be a member and support the site and compete in the open challenges and be able to add a portfolio etc. How can I do this if I cannot pay?????
First of all, try talkin to d/l by hitting help/contact and droppin' them a note. If that don't work PM me and we'll see if we can't work somethin' out!
i have same problem, been to bank a couple of times, bank draft is
the only way, you have to post the cheque, who knows if it will get there? pain in the assssss
I had problems with paypal, credit cards and money orders (i live in UK). In the end i sent $25 in cash by standard post. It arrived in less than 2 weeks and now i'm a member. I spent a long time trying other methods and i wish i had just sent the cash in the first place.
Edit: The only place i could do a money order would cost £25 just to send so i opted for the £1 air mail at my post office.

Move to Australia Di! Ive met more Zimms in the last 12 months then i have in all my life, All of them got the hell out of there, besides our rugby side is kicking butt and our cricketers always do.

Hmm. If you really want to know I am from Australia!!!! I've moved from Aussie to Zim! They're all leaving here and I'm just settling in!
Oh well, the opportunities for wildlife photos are great!!
And the other thing is, I can't send a money order as we are not supposed to have foreign currency here in Zimbabwe and if I posted a cheque it would never arrive! The only thing I have is a credit card. Sad story huh? :)
