He occasionally shows up to post an e-zine he produces. There's certainly an element of self promotion to that, but it's also interesting and useful information, and not pure advertising. That's not unlike benjikan, who copies his blog posts here, but otherwise doesn't participate (Would love to see his stuff in some challenges, though). Many of us will post a link to a good deal we run across, but that's different from advertising your own stuff.

I'll answer cowboy first because he's packing major heat ;-). The type of work I do is heavily and often non-realistically post-processed because I focus my efforts on what one can do with third-party plug-ins and actions, and as I understand it this degree of manipulation is not accepted in the challenges.
Yo_Spiff, I'm not seeing the Buy/Sell forum link or anything related to Classifieds (??). That's why I always post under software.
To clarify, this is not my product (I don't have any of my own) but rather a special arrangement I made with a UK developer/trainer for a heavy discount on his products. I've been working with developers for just over a decade so I can usually just ask them for something special for my visitors. These and other non-exclusive discount arrangements end up on my Discounts page.

Some people hate the heavily processed manipulated look, others love it. There is room for both here. It tends to be more heavily used in the expert editing challenges.
