Well, I finished smack dab in the middle of the pack this time, and wonder how I might have done if I had submitted this one instead, which is what several friends told me to submit. But no...I had to submit the other image. Anyway, I got right around a 5.0 (rounding up!) in the challenge. How would you have scored this one? (In other words, did I submit the wrong image??? lol)
I got my lowest placement yet. I don't think some people shared my sense of humor for this challenge. By the way, to all that were wondering, they were brand new panties.
I think the one you didn't submit is a more interesting perspective on an everyday object. A little more shadow to add some depth might have helped. The submitted photo is technically good, but the setting seems unusual for an everyday object.
You probably should take my advice to seriously though because I got my butt kicked on this challenge.
Boomer, I think your outtake may have done a little better. It has a more abstract feel to it. The shot you entered kind of lacked excitement or as some would say "the wow factor". :)
I gave you a 5 as it was technically good, but just OK compositionally. Your outake is more interesting and I probably would've given it a 6 or 7. But that's just my opinion. My shot suffered the same fate, I'm afraid. But we live and learn and move onto the next challenge. :-)

I like your outtake better, in my view to make an everyday object look better you have to take a non everyday viewpoint.
