Another choice, full body air again, but once again I lost the face.
I was fortunate to have a wide variety of shots to choose from, and this is just a few. My daughter had a championship meet the day before the challenge ended. I have been luck enough to shoot the girls all season, so I knew where to be and who to look at for a good entry!
I gave your entry a 6, would have been a little higher, but I couldn't keep from seeing the green shirted boy in the background causing a distraction. One thing I always consider in my sports shots to submit to my editors is the backgrounds and the horizons.

Thanks, I liked several of them, but in reality it came down to. I made a decision on the day I took them on what to submit. Pulled that one original off the card and submitted it for verification. My download method doesn't meet with DPC criteria, so when I decide to enter a challenge, I have to manually pull the original off the card before formatting or my original download won't pass validation because I use Nikon transfer to download.

Thanks Matt for the feedback. I was set up with a clean background and the girl showed up and started stretching just I was about to get them coming around the corner. I took a series of shots and this was the best action and focus of all I got, but she was the 'most' in the scene'....next time, right!?

In pro sports backgrounds are easy, in high school and lower college, or semi pro it's always tough. Sometimes you can't do anything about it. Other times, well you can only do so much. So yeah, next time. I shoot in one semi pro field that the whole outer wall is full of advertisements, you can't get away from distracting backgrounds, the results piss me off, but not a thing I can do about it, but shoot as tight as possible.

Thanks, as I said earlier, after I submitted I found other images I liked better, but had already formatted my card, so the original was to be lost. I already have a DQ learning that Nikon transfer messes with the EXIF so I just took the one I planned to enter on my first run through, brought it out on it's own to validate and formatted the card.
I could use someone to carry gear and would gladly exchange training for it. :D Maybe you thought about moving?
