I just had a custom flash bracket made from aluminum. It looks great but when I took it out into the field with me, it was . . .well overly reflective (even blinding at times). I want to apply a matte black paint (a crinkled effect would be nice) but am afraid to ruin the bracket with cheap paint that will flake or scratch off easily. Does anyone happen to know how I can accomplish this with a wear resistant finish? What preparations are needed (ex. Do I need to buff the aluminum first)? Thanks in advance. |
