So I'm ready to share some of my photos for feedback. I'm new to photography, so I expect I have a lot to improve. These three have won challenges on Flickr, but I know that isn't saying a whole lot. Your comments are appreciated.

Thanks for all the props, folks, I appreciate it. Most comments have said pretty good and pretty well done, which means they aren't perfect :) Any suggestions for improvement?
@hahn and bear: Regarding Anubis, yes, you will see a lot of ancient Egyptian themed stuff from me (I'm Egyptian) as I have a lot of Egyptian and Arabic swag in my home.
@tanguera, yes, I saw that challenge, and was wishing I'd submitted to it. Alas, I haven't bought the premium membership here yet. On a side note, every time I try to vote in one of the challenges it tells me I need get a payed membership, but I thought non-paying members could vote.
Mbrutus, that shot was taken at Epcot in Florida, outside one of the rides they have a few aquarium tanks, one which has jellyfish. The blue lighting was thanks to the way they lit the aquarium. I did do a significant amount of post processing in Lightroom in that one. I cropped, fiddled with the blues, and applied my favorite brush (I call it "Pop" and it is just sharpness and clarity set to 100) to the jellyfish and then burned the background image. If you like, I can post the original, unedited image so you can see the difference.
The use of my Pop brush, I assume, means I can't submit any photos to the 'basic editing' challenges. Unfortunately, I am still only on my kit lens, so I feel like the pop brush is required to make up for the deficiency.
Thank you Gina, I was not aware of that. I'm still in Flickr mentality where challenges there are a lot looser with their rules. I've no shortage of stuff in my house for some interesting macro shots, though, so I think I'll find something to shoot for the current macro challenge.
Welcome to the site Osiris. I think these shots are pretty solid for where you're at. My recommendation to you would be to get a little more adventurous with your images.
